October 2025 Technical Meeting – Surfactants

The STLE Philadelphia Section is pleased to start our education programming for the 2025 – 2026 year with a program on surfactants. Our initial program will be held on Wednesday, October 29th starting with registration and networking at 11:30 AM and lunch at 12 PM. The meeting will start with announcements at 1:00 PM. The meeting will be held at Sandy Run Country Club in Oreland PA.

2:00 PM – Abdulmalik Yusuf, Graduate Student, University of Delaware; “ Exceptional Adhesion of PTFE fine powder for dry electrode applications.”

2:25 PM – Brad Arnold, Senior Chemist – Industrial Applications, Clariant Corporation; “Surfactants Can Make or Break Emulsions.”

Poster Session: Between 11:30 AM and 12:45 PM: Kayla Hepler, Graduate Student, University of Delaware; “Anisotropy in Soft Sliding Friction: Impact on Tactile Interfaces.”
