The Philadelphia Section of the STLE is pleased to award a $500 scholarship to Susquehanna University student Cameron Wolf. Wolf graduated in May of 2022 with a BA in mathematics and a minor in physics, carrying a 3.84 GPA though his undergraduate work. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Civil Engineering at Columbia University with a focus on structural engineering. In structural engineering, the mechanics of how structures interact with soil bring fundamental principals of lubrication and surface interaction into play.
Wolf is described as a bright, energetic, and active student who works well both independently and in a team setting. He has excellent problem solving skills and is able to explain his reasoning and process clearly and in detail. Wolf served as Treasurer of Sigma Pi Sigma, Susquehanna’s physics honor society.
Wolf held a civil engineering summer internship with Dawood Engineering, Inc where he worked in their municipal group. His activities included stormwater and sanitary design and inspections, PennDOT road installations, retaining wall design and installation, and other activities. Wolf was also introduced to the business side of things creating cost estimates and sending out bidding contracts to clients.
