Part-time Lecturer in Tribology

University of Pennsylvania – Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics Department

The Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics Department at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a qualified individual to teach our Tribology course (MEAM 504) for the spring semester of 2020 (Jan.-May). This is a paid, part-time position involving two 80-minute lectures per week, 2 hours per week for meeting with students, and further time required for lecture preparation and electronic communication with students. Support in the form of a graduate student teaching assistant will be provided.

The candidate must have a doctorate in a related field. Complete sets of notes, powerpoint slides, prior assignments and exams, etc. will be provided to the instructor. Strong knowledge of tribology and a desire to engage with bright, highly motivated students are required.
