HES&S Professional I

The Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (HES&S) Department is currently reviewing applications and resumes for the salaried position of HESS&S Professional I.
This position is responsible for conducting field-related activities and assigned administrative duties required for Environmental compliance. Specific duties will range across all Environmental disciplines (waste, water, air, SPCC, tanks, remediation).

• Site-Wide Remediation
o Daily creek inspections
o Obtain and record recovery well oil/water level data
o Oversight of the existing remediation systems
(E.g. horizontal well suction lines, pumps, force main, etc.)
o Serves as on site liaison for remediation consultant and communicates findings/changes that impact remedial strategies
o Oversee remediation well closure program
o Conduct other activities necessary to move towards remedial exposure unit closure
• Air
o Responsible for specific compliance requirements included in ARG’s Title V Operating Permit including:
 Leak Detection and Repair program management (monitoring and recordkeeping)
 EPA Method 9 visible emission certification and conduct daily observations for ARG’s fugitive & visible emissions compliance.
 Obtain analytical lab samples related to greenhouse gas, benzene fence line monitoring, and other State/NSPS/NESHAP compliance programs
 Conduct flue gas emission testing
• Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure/Storage Tanks
o Responsible for certain requirements SPCC Plan including but not limited to monthly visible tank inspections and storm water best management practices
• Water
o NPDES sampling and shipment
• Waste
o Routine waste storage and other related inspections
o Provide waste pickup contractor assistance/guidance

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Natural Science or Related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Science background with strong understanding of chemistry
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Occasional work from heights required
• Respirator fit test & ERT Team participation required
