Technical Service Sr Consultant

The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a Technical Service Sr Consultant position available in Wilmington, DE. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Technology function. This position will report to the Technical Supervisor.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Actively participate with the marketing, sales, and business teams to grow the Krytox® Performance Lubricants Business
Visit current and potential customers to: review product performance and technical issues; provide training on use of products in customer specific processes; gather performance data on our products and test programs at end use customers; and, represent Chemours to the customer to help identify/analyze and resolve problems
Represent Krytox™ Performance Lubricants in lubrication societies and organizations and create recognition as the Chemours™ industry lubrication expert
Represent Krytox™ Performance Lubricants at technical seminars and industry meetings by attendance and/or development and delivery of presentations or other appropriate knowledge transfer
Collaborate with in-house & outside resources in formulation and laboratory evaluation of new products
Lead programs through the Technical Service laboratories at the Experimental Station
Coordinate customer complaint response, technical support, and related activities to resolve customer concerns
Using technical understanding of market needs, drive development of business plans for new products in line with market needs
Review and update technical literature
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Tribology or related field
5-7 years of technical understanding of friction, wear and the function of lubricants in field use or hands on maintenance
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects
Demonstrated skill in leadership, team building and achieving results through influence and negotiation
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well in both self-managed and team environments
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
Industrial experience in lubrication or tribology
Experience in the automotive industry
