Please join fellow STLE members and friends for the 4th educational seminar for the 2016-2017 season – Nanotechnology and A Celebration of STLE Past Presidents! November’s meeting boasted over 50 attendees, and we can’t wait to see you again this month – especially our past presidents!
Jan. 19th 2017: Nanotechnology & Past Presidents
Increase energy efficiency. Solve major health problems. Clean the environment. Build stronger, more durable materials than ever before. These are all possible with nanoengineering. Nanotechnology is a rapidly growing field focused on engineering advanced materials at the nanometer scale. It has been said that “the impact of nanotechnology on the health, wealth, and lives of people will be at least the equivalent of the combined influences of microelectronics, medical imaging, computer aided engineering and man-made polymers developed in this country.”
It’s no secret that the impact of nanotechnology is felt right here at home in the tribology world. So do yourself a favor, and come check out this great lineup of speakers for our January meeting. Featuring talks from current STLE President Ali Erdemir, and George Diloyan of Nanotech Industrial Solutions, you’re guaranteed to leave with better insight on this topic. In addition, our January meeting will highlight STLE Philly scholarship winner Diana Haider of the University of Delaware – you can count on leaving chock full of knowledge!
In addition, we would like to honor all of our STLE past presidents, so please be sure to join if you’ve served as president of our great organization.
Following the normal session, we will continue with our tradition of hosting a brief STEM committee meeting – all are welcome and encouraged to participate!
